Bio Photo Experience at Herceg Novi, Montenegro in late April, 2015 for a week's trip to one of the most exciting new travel sites in the world

Flying into Dubrovnik, we’ll meet and drive to the city of Herceg Novi (, then cross the bay to a bluff overlooking the Adriatic Sea. There we'll find the renovated and thoroughly modernized 500-year old mansion house of an olive plantation, and our hosts Mats and Suzanne. Mats is an internationally recognized artist (and one-time professional tennis player), and Suzanne (who spent much of her adult life as an orthodontist) is a wonderful potter.

With individual rooms, a chlorine-free swimming pool, wi fi access, spacious dining and relaxation rooms and a large studio/conference room area, this lovely venue will be our base. Here we will dine in-house on locally-grown fruits and vegetables, and seafood freshly caught in the Adriatic Sea. At the base of the bluff, there is a ferry operation, which also includes a dive shop, across the bay to Herceg Novi. The adjacent areas are a protected wetlands area where many aquatic birds congregate.

Among the activities planned:

-An olive pressing tour

-A visit to some cave paintings

-A tour to look at what Suzanne calls “the prettiest little church around”

-A visit to the city of Kotor, which has a long beginning as an outpost of the Roman province of Dalmatia ( Suzanne writes that Kotor has “one of the nicest pizza places in the world!! A charming hole in the wall, and great pizza!!”

-A tour to the Blau grotto, like the one in Capri, but better... You can still get in!! Despite all these activities, there will be ample time to relax, and enjoy the peaceful and astoundingly beautiful scenery. The weather in late April should be mild, swimming in the Adriatic a distinct possibility! Some evening surprises are also planned.

Cost for the week including all food, lodging, and internal transportation during your 7 days/6 nights excursion is $2,450 (US). tropical_stream
